Car sharing platforms are amazing. It makes travelling so much cheaper, more convenient and more fun, while reducing your environmental impact. They are quite popular in Europe, especially in Germany. I personally have used it lots, because the shared price of the journey ends up being cheaper than a train or bus. I always met really nice people and had a nice chat during the journey. Last summer me and a friend travelled to south of France and picked up people on the way. In the end we ended up paying less than £25 each for a journey over 800 km and made friends on the way.
