The BeetleCam
I am currently watching Planet Earth and I absolutely love it. It is so exciting and relaxing, while being a bit educative. But my favourite part is Planet Earth Diaries, in which the film crew explains how it got some of its most difficult shots of animals. It makes you appreciate the pictures and short sequences.
So, when I saw the BeetleCam, I thought, that’s a cool idea.
It was designed by the wildlife photographer Burrard-Lucas. It is an armoured remote-control buggy for DSLR cameras or Go-Pros.

I am aware that the little beetle could not shoot a hunting scene or be fast enough to track animals in motion, but it still gives you an option to learn more about the behaviour of animals, their communication in between and their relations to each other. And with more knowledge our respect for them grows, hopefully.
Go, little BeetleCam…
